Bugfixes coming in 1.0.6.1

● Fixed a bug that would cause chests to contain stacks of empty item.
● The crafting list now correctly updates after using the container loot buttons.
● The direction bathtubs face when placed is now correctly sent to the server. This prevents bathtub duplication issues.
● Smashing Obsidian Walls no longer gives Obsidian Ore.
● Walls that are automatically placed to fill small gaps are now correctly taken from the player’s inventory.
● Fixed a bug that causes Green Slimes to get stuck in the ground and start sinking.
● Player ghosts no longer move when typing.
● Fixed a bug that would cause mana to sometimes not regenerate when the player has 0 mana.
● Slimes no longer chase the player in water when they are not in aggresive mode.
● Lesser Restoration Potions and Restoration Potions now only heal for 50/100 life and 50/100 mana.
● Lesser Mana Potions and Mana Potions now only restore 50/100 mana.
● Changed the way the value of stacked items is rounded to fix selling/buyback inconsistencies.
● Some items can now again be placed in lava, this includes clay pots and fire blossom seeds.
● Fixed a bug that would cause shadow orbs to me smashed during world generation. This was causing meteors to start spawning before the player is at the appropriate gear level.
● Generated dirt walls now correctly blend with player placed dirt walls.
● Boomerangs now reset correctly when you use your magic mirror if they are still flying.
● Mediumcore characters now correctly drop ammo on death.
● “Misc” has been reworded to say Shoes on the shoes color settings screen.

Also, the following ARE NOT consider bugs and are working as intended. To note, the last changelog did not list every single change made to balance that happened, so many people are reporting changes that happened assuming they are bugs. Ill be updating that changelog (here on TO) as well as I come accross important enough changes that we forgot to mention to list in there.

Not Bugs

● Flamelash now only hits once.
● Floating Island chests being locked.
● Cobwebs breaking after a moment of being stuck in them.
● Shadow Keys remain after use.
● Houses in the Underworld have a chance during world gen to ALL be obsidian. It’s not a rare chance for just one to be.

Game Update 1.5.2 (110)

Here are the patch notes to the latest version 1.5.2 (110) update hot off the press.

Missions

  • Fixed a bomb target that was in the middle of the road in Financial.
  • Updated ‘There’s no EYE in team’ based on Forum bug report (added an opposed drop off at the end and disabled takeouts)
  • Fixed an issue with ‘Get the Look’ where the last stage wouldn’t show up.
  • Fix to ‘Pineapple Cocktail’ mission. Removed takeout requirement from penultimate stage. Added text to final opposed stage.
  • Added opposed ending objectives to several missions.
  • General fixes and improvements to the following missions:
    • ‘Dirt on the Department’
    • ‘Bankroll Collection’
    • ‘Fire and Brimstone’
    • ‘Bugs and Drugs’
    • ‘Constructive Criticism’
    • ‘Game Copy Crackdown’

Weapons

  • Fixed bug with the Stabba – PIG “Susanowo”. It now has Three Point Sling rather than Magazine Pull.
  • Updates to Obeya CR-762:
    • Increased Standard Accuracy, Decreased Marksmanship Modifier, Increased Run Modifier (though this is offset by the accuracy increase).
    • Overall this makes the weapon more accurate at base level, but have less effect from Hunting Sight.
  • Reduced Concussion Grenade damage (Increased Hard Damage to compensate). It now does less damage to players (does not fully 1-shot) but does slightly more damage to vehicles.
  • Increased Sprint modifiers for weapon accuracy across the board.
  • PMG: Lowered Damage (Still a 5 shot kill, just means it’ll hit 6 shots to kill faster after its effective range is hit). Lowered clip size to 18. Slightly reduced accuracy and accuracy regeneration.
  • NFA-9: Lowered Damage (15 shots rather than 11) Increased Fire rate significantly (slightly longer kill time than before overall, but more of a buzz-saw feel about the weapon), Increased horizontal recoil, lowered clip size to 20. Adjusted recoil so it now recoils right as well as left. Reduced Reload time.
  • SAS-PDW: New recoil pattern, now has low horizontal recoil, high vertical recoil.

Vehicles

  • Replaced cancelling mods on Espacio ‘Shift’ and Vaquero ‘BobCat’ Espacio now has Quick Repair, Vaquero has Armoured Engine.
  • Mikro / Vaquero: Now slowed down more significantly by Task items / VIPs.
  • Mhuller M1: Now slowed down slightly by Task items / VIPs.

General

  • Made a change that may dampen the effects of apparent server lag.
  • Tweaked matchmaking values in response to player feedback.
  • Fixed areas in Financial and Waterfront where players could escape the map, due to the increased jump height.
  • Fixed a Player Vehicle Spawn Machine towards the north of Financial District.
  • Changed the term “Meta-Team” to “Team Alliance” to better represent what the feature does.
  • Altered order of Scoreboard columns to Kills, Assists, Deaths and Arrests. Also tidies the column widths and the Player’s Details.
  • Added new pop-up detailing the benefits of premium.
  • The chat window now display the bonus information for cash and contact standing in gold.
  • Changed the following item names:
    • ‘Bandit Mask’ to the more correct ‘Domino Mask’
    • ‘Vest Bodywarmer’ to ‘Bodywarmer’
    • ‘Boots High Top’ to ‘High-Top Boots’
    • ‘Gask Mask SnoutFilter’ to ‘Gas Mask (Snout Filter)’

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the threat icon disappears if a players skill rating goes above a certain level.
  • Fixed an issue where the player cannot sprint during refire timer.
  • Fixed an issue where it was possible to “Moonwalk” if firing an empty weapon while sprinting backward.
  • Updated various icons for unlocks.
  • Fixed a typo in Hand-Wraps.
  • Adjusted sprint modifiers across the board to alleviate potential issues with previous “Action/Animation” changes.

MrWhite Reviews KSP

Kerbal Space Program, developed by Squad Games is a fun new space simulation game revolving around creating a rocket and sending “Kerbals” into space and hopefully back home. KSP is still in heavy development, being only a few weeks old. Since KSP is so early in development, there is no real goal set in place, though this has not hindered its popularity. the official KSP forums can be found here.

KSP’s main mission is to build a rocket out of various segments and send your space capsule housing 3 Kerbals to space and back again. This is easier said than done, though, as various things can go wrong, such as coupling failure and engine or fuel explosion among other things. The ever present danger of losing control of the craft altogether is a more than real threat to your Kerbals as well, as you have full control over the 3 axes of movement of the craft and are given no means of assistance other than a minor stabilization system. There are also game engine limitations that must be worked around in order to be even moderately successful. Constraints between modules can get flimsy and send two halves of the craft flying in different directions, and asymmetric craft designs are prone to falling over even if properly balanced.

Some major downfalls of this game are its lack of content and replayability. Though it can be fun the first few times launching your homemade spaceship into the deep abyss of space, it does in fact get tiresome after a while, especially when all your creations end up looking nearly identical due to a lack of parts. Since the game is so new, though, this shouldn’t be looked at as a major problem, as the developer updates the game with new features regularly, and there are a few parts packs floating around the forums made by fans of the game, which can add hours of playability.

Another rather glaring problem with the game is the current physics engine. In game, if you’ve connected too many parts together without reinforcement, you will quickly notice your ship starting to bend and curve the way no solid structure should. This problem is as yet unavoidable in larger craft, and the developer has no intention of switching physics engines, as it would require quite  substantial part of the game to be rewritten. For anything other than deep space insertion, though, a large craft that would normally suffer from this major problem isn’t entirely necessary.

Besides these few rather large problems, the game can be very fun if you’re interested in space flight, large explosions, or funny green astronauts. Multiplayer functionality has been discussed heavily, though it is not currently present. The current version is free to download and play, and there are no fees associated with the game as of yet. The game can be downloaded here, so go get it and let the hilarity and zero-g fun ensue!

Here are the newest features put into Minecraft!

  • Added Pistons
  • Fire or Redstone is required to light TNT
  • Fences can be stacked
  • Added Shears
  • Shears can be used to pickup leaf blocks
  • Shears can be used to shear sheep without hurting them
  • Sheep no longer drop wool after hitting them
  • Removed herobrine

Next update is going to be the Adventure update, with new NPCs, villages, terrain features, different combat, and more!

Piston

 

Updates to Terraria have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include:

NPCs

  • New Enemy – Lava slime, this enemy leaves behind lava on death
  • New Enemy – Hellbat
  • New Enemy – Demon
  • New Enemy – Jellyfish (Two variations, Pink and Blue)
  • New Enemy – Shark
  • New Enemy – Vulture
  • New Enemy – Crab

  • Changed the way worm enemies spawn.

  • Talking to the old man at night will give the player a warning now before summoning the dungeon boss.
  • Entering the dungeon before defeating Skeletron now spawns a new NPC instead of Skeletron’s head. This should fix several issues with that event.
  • Enemy coin drops have been adjusted.
  • Man Eaters and Snatchers are no longer effected by knockback and can attack through walls.
  • Eater of Souls’ and Hornet AI has been improved.
  • Enemies now take up different amount of *slots* depending on AI style and strength. This will help balance conditions when there are lots of strong monsters spawned at once, such as Imps and Bone Serpents.
  • Fish are no longer upside-down when out of water.
  • Green slimes have been weakend so that start players can deal with them more easily.
  • Slimes and Flying enemies no longer make a splash sound when hitting water.
  • Items of “Blue Rarity” or higher no longer burn up in lava.
  • Burning Skull has been renamed to Cursed Skull, and given different AI.
  • Enemy caster’s have had their rate of fire slowed down.
  • Meteor heads have less health, do more damage, and move slower.
  • There are now slight size variations to the Eater of Souls and the Angry Bones.
  • Skeletron has less defense and health.

  • New Feature : Buffs activated by Using Potions. Right click a buff to remove it from yourself.

  • The explosion animation for bombs is now correctly displayed in multiplayer.
  • There is now a message pop-up when the player receives an item.
  • Filled Buckets may no longer be emptied into solid ground.
  • Pots in the underworld now have a chance to drop hellfire arrows.
  • Handgun and Phoenix Blaster have been reduced in size.
  • Lowered the knockback of Muramasa.
  • Reduced the damage of the Blue Moon.
  • Flintlock Pistol and Musket have increased damage.
  • Only normal trees drop acorns.
  • Falling sand clumps are no longer carried by magic missiles/flamelash.
  • Jungle armor is no longer a drop. It is a craftable set.
  • Magic Mirror now requires mana to be used.
  • Harpoon and Maces now correctly show the player’s arm animation.
  • The arms dealer will sell unholy arrows at night after the Eater of Worlds has been defeated.
  • Space Gun does more damage, but only penetrates 2 enemies.

Server

  • Spam detection is less aggressive.
  • Increase multiplayer security.
  • Fixed a bug that could crash the server when the max amount of clients are connected.
  • Added an option to enable additional cheat protection for servers.
  • Servers now hibernate when no players are connected.
  • Blood Moons now stop correctly if time is changed to day by the server.

Game Interface

  • Upon death, A more specific death message will appear for other players, so they know how you died.
  • The crafting and armor interface text will fade out when an item tooltip is in front of it.
  • The Hot Bar now shows the name of the selected item.
  • PVP now requires 5 seconds between Activation and Deactivation and visa versa to prevent PVP spam. The same cooldown is in effect for Team Changing as well.
  • Added hotkeys for quickly drinking healing, mana, and buff potions.The healing/mana potion you use is based on the same principle arrows are. Top-Left most item first. The buff potions are all used at once.
  • Holding right click on an empty space in the inventory will no longer make a sound effect as if something was there to be picked up.
  • Defense totals are now shown in your inventory.

World Gen

  • Tweaked the way sand is created during world gen. (Requires new world.)
  • Oceans are now slightly larger and generation layout has been improved. (Requires new world.)
  • Cactus now grow on sand.
  • Coral now grows in the ocean.
  • Chests can now spawn near the surface of the world. They will contain treasure that new players may find useful. (Requires new world.)
  • Chests and pots now contain loot based on the level they spawn in. (Requires new world.)
  • Gold chests will now spawn in some parts of the world. (Requires new world.)
  • Corrupt chasms have less of a chance to spawn on jungles. They also now have a cave connecting most of the chasms. (Requires new world.
  • Traces of demonite are created during world gen. (Requires new world.
